Location: London
Hours: Full-time, flexible applications considered
Office Days: 40-60% of your time in the office


We are seeking a passionate and highly organised Immigration Paralegal to join our busy and successful Private Client Immigration Team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting lawyers on a broad range of UK immigration matters while working closely with clients and developing your technical expertise.

Our team advises individuals on all aspects of UK immigration including family migration, nationality and citizenship applications, business immigration, EU-related matters, asylum, appeals and judicial review proceedings.

The role

Working alongside experienced fee earners, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of client matters, helping to deliver an exceptional service to individuals navigating complex immigration issues.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting fee earners with the management of immigration cases
  • Liaising directly with clients and attending client meetings
  • Drafting correspondence for clients, the Home Office and immigration tribunals
  • Undertaking legal research
  • Assisting with the preparation of client and witness statements
  • Preparing immigration application forms and supporting documentation
  • Arranging visa application appointments and liaising with agents where required
  • Reviewing evidence and compiling application bundles
  • Proofreading applications, forms and legal documents for accuracy
  • Providing general administrative support to the team

About you

We are looking for a motivated individual with a genuine interest in immigration law and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.

You will have:

  • A strong interest in immigration law and current legal developments
  • Excellent written communication and drafting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to produce accurate work under pressure
  • Effective organisational and time-management skills
  • Experience managing large volumes of documentation and competing deadlines
  • Strong legal research capabilities
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative and multitask
  • A professional, positive and flexible attitude
  • The ability to work sensitively and confidentially with vulnerable clients and complex matters
