Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Immigration Solicitor role based in Manchester. The Immigration Solicitor will manage a caseload of immigration matters, including family, business, asylum, and human rights applications and appeals. Daily responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on immigration options
- Preparing and reviewing legal documents
- Drafting applications and representations
- Liaising with relevant authorities and tribunals
- Attending client meetings
- Conducting legal research
- Maintaining accurate case records
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality, client-focused service
- Contributing to practice development activities, such as staying updated on immigration law changes and supporting internal knowledge sharing

- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience in immigration law and practice.
- Strong client advisory skills, including the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and provide practical, solution-focused guidance.
- Effective case management abilities, including organization, time management, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle a busy caseload responsibly.
- Excellent legal drafting, written communication, and advocacy skills for applications, representations, and tribunal work.
- Robust research skills and up-to-date knowledge of UK immigration legislation, policy, and relevant case law.
- Commitment to ethical practice, access to justice, and delivering inclusive, non-discriminatory services to diverse clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, build strong professional relationships, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Proficiency with legal case management systems and standard office software; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a law firm or specialist immigration practice is highly beneficial.
