ESC Impact Framework Volunteer
ESC has no impact framework yet and we need your help to build one. Working with our Founder and Grants Trustee, you'll design ESC's measurement framework and SOPs from scratch. Your work will shape how we evidence our impact for years to come.
What difference will you make?
Right now, when we apply for funding or report to stakeholders, we are limited in how clearly we can evidence what ESC achieves. We know the difference we make, to people who finally feel heard, to communities that have never had local support, to a health landscape that still too often dismisses those living with endometriosis. But without a framework to capture it, that difference is harder to demonstrate.
The framework and SOPs you build will change that. They will give ESC the foundations to evidence our reach, our outcomes, and our value in grant applications, in annual reports, and in conversations with commissioners, partners, and funders. In a sector where impact evidence can be the difference between securing funding and losing it, your contribution will directly strengthen ESC's ability to sustain and grow our work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Beyond the numbers, this role will help us tell a truer, fuller story of what it means to live with endometriosis and what grassroots, community-led support can achieve when it is properly resourced and evidenced.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who thinks in systems; someone who finds satisfaction in taking something undefined and giving it structure, clarity, and purpose.
- Experience and knowledge of impact measurement, monitoring and evaluation, or quality improvement, whether through paid work, volunteering, or academic study.
- Ability to write clearly and produce practical, well-structured documents.
- Familiarity with the voluntary sector, grant reporting requirements, or GDPR compliance would be a bonus, as would experience with Microsoft 365.
- Most importantly, we want someone who will take ownership of this work and see it through, knowing that what they build will genuinely outlast their time with us.

What will you be doing?

We are growing and as we do, being able to clearly evidence our impact has never been more important. Right now, ESC does not have a formal impact measurement framework in place. This volunteer will change that.
Working closely with our Founder and Grants Trustee, you will design ESC's impact framework from the ground up identifying the right indicators to capture what we do and the difference we make. Alongside this, you will develop the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that will make the framework sustainable clear, practical guidance so that future volunteers and staff can collect, record, and report on impact consistently and confidently.
This is genuinely foundational work. The systems you build will underpin our grant applications, our annual reporting, and our accountability to the community we serve for years to come.
