Implementation Consultant

Bristol | Hybrid

Are you a part-qualified or qualified accountant looking to move into a more technology-focused, client-facing role?

We’re supporting a leading SaaS business in Bristol with the appointment of an Implementation Consultant to join its growing consulting team. This is an excellent opportunity to use your finance knowledge in a new way, helping clients implement and optimise ERP technology while improving their processes, controls, and reporting.

The Role

Working closely with finance teams, IT functions, and senior stakeholders, you’ll manage implementation projects from initial discovery through to delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading ERP implementation projects across a varied client base
  • Running discovery workshops to understand financial processes and requirements
  • Translating finance needs into practical system solutions
  • Supporting system configuration, testing, and implementation
  • Delivering client training and supporting user adoption
  • Managing project timelines, scope, and stakeholder expectations
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and controls
  • Contributing to solution design and pre-sales activity

About You

This role would suit someone who has:

  • A background in management accounting, financial accounting, audit, financial control, or finance business partnering
  • A recognised accountancy qualification, or is currently studying towards one
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end finance processes
  • Exposure to ERP systems, either as a user or through an implementation or improvement project
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • The confidence to work directly with clients and lead workshops
  • A genuine interest in finance technology, systems, and process improvement

Previous consulting or implementation experience would be beneficial, but it isn’t essential. More importantly, you’ll be commercially minded, technically curious, and motivated to build a career outside traditional operational finance.
