A leading global investment manager is seeking an Implementation Portfolio Manager to join its front office investment function, supporting the implementation of multi-asset and alternative investment strategies across institutional portfolios.
This role sits at the centre of the investment process, working closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and external investment managers to ensure investment decisions are implemented efficiently, accurately, and in line with portfolio objectives.
The successful candidate will combine a strong understanding of financial markets and portfolio implementation with excellent analytical skills and the ability to operate within a fast-paced, front office investment environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of multi-asset and alternative investment portfolios across a broad range of asset classes
- Analyse portfolio exposures, liquidity, and market movements to provide implementation recommendations to Portfolio Managers
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of physical and derivative investment strategies
- Liaise with external investment managers, custodians, brokers, and fund administrators to facilitate portfolio transitions and trading activity
- Monitor portfolio activity to ensure timely and accurate implementation of investment decisions
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of portfolio implementation processes, operational infrastructure, and investment technology
- Utilise quantitative analysis and investment systems to support portfolio construction, risk management, and implementation efficiency
- Work collaboratively with investment, trading, and operational teams across a global business

Requirements
- Experience within portfolio implementation, investment operations, trading support, or a similar investment management environment
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio management principles
- Exposure to multi-asset investing, alternatives, equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, or derivatives
- Experience working with institutional portfolios and investment implementation processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret portfolio and market data
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication skills with experience working alongside investment professionals and external counterparties
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline

Additional desirable experience
- Progress towards the CFA qualification
- Knowledge of quantitative portfolio management techniques
- Exposure to investment technology platforms, portfolio analytics, or optimisation tools
