Implementation Senior Lead
Would you like to play a key role in helping NHS organisations adopt services successfully and get the greatest value from working with NHS Shared Business Services?
We’re looking for an Implementation Senior Lead to join our Implementation Team. You’ll provide high-quality implementation support across key finance workstreams, combining process expertise, client engagement and project delivery skills to support successful onboarding and ongoing client partnerships.
The Implementation Team covers Client Onboarding, Data & Technology, Client Success, Mergers & Reconfigurations and Strategic Delivery, with colleagues working across these areas. You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team with strong cross-functional working, partnering with clients, project managers and operational teams to develop effective solutions, share best practice and deliver a responsive service. You’ll work with a high level of independence and may also support, coach or mentor Implementation Leads.
The role is based in Leeds and follows a Hybrid Variable working arrangement. It will involve national travel.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead process impact workshops and walkthroughs, explaining NHS Shared Business Services systems, processes and best practice to clients.
- Establish local processes, transaction volumes and data requirements, using client data to support process design and informed decision-making.
- Develop integrated process solutions that reflect NHS Shared Business Services systems, best practice and clients’ local business needs.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and Implementation Leads, resolving escalated queries and providing training, guidance and specialised support.
- Support project scope, milestones, risks, issues, reporting, cutover planning and stabilisation activities in collaboration with project managers and operational teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, implementation products and best-practice toolkits, while coaching and supporting Implementation Leads.

What you’ll bring:
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate, interpret and present data.
- Knowledge of NHS Shared Business Services processes, financial approval workflows and the operational context of NHS organisations.
- Experience of relevant Oracle applications and financial or procurement systems.
- The ability to plan, organise and structure your work to meet deadlines across multiple client assignments.
- Project delivery experience, with effective problem-solving, decision-making and risk-management skills.
- A client-focused and adaptable approach, including professionalism and sensitivity when supporting organisations and colleagues through change.
