Are you an experienced implementation professional who thrives on leading complex change and delivering real value for clients?

We’re looking for a confident and versatile Implementation Senior Lead to join our specialist Implementation Team at NHS Shared Business Services. You’ll be part of a collaborative, high‑performing team that supports NHS organisations through onboarding, transformation and optimisation, working across Client Onboarding, Data & Technology, Client Success, Mergers & Reconfigurations and Strategic Delivery. Our culture is client‑centred, supportive and improvement‑focused, giving you the opportunity to influence, lead and make a genuine impact across the NHS.

If you’re motivated by delivering high‑quality implementations, supporting clients through change and helping shape best practice at scale, this is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career.

This is a hybrid role, combining home working with travel to client sites and occasional overnight stays when required, particularly during key implementation phases or stakeholder workshops.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading end‑to‑end implementation activity for new and existing clients across the A2R and EPM workstreams.
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for clients, resolving escalations and providing expert guidance and assurance.
  • Delivering process impact workshops, walkthroughs, training sessions and best practice adoption.
  • Analysing and manipulating client data to support decision‑making, migration activities and reporting.
  • Supporting project governance by managing risks, issues, milestones and stakeholder communications.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, best practice toolkits and mentoring Implementation Leads.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
