Implementation Specialist
Full-Time | Maidenhead, Berkshire | Hybrid/ 3 days in the Office
We’re growing our team at gther and looking for an Implementation Specialist to help turn our clients’ event technology requirements into fully configured, tested and launch-ready solutions.
We’re an event technology company built by events people. Our technology supports brands, agencies, associations and event teams across the event lifecycle – from registration and meetings to apps, lead capture, badging, virtual experiences and more.
This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving problems and making things work. This is a great opportunity to kick-start your career in technology and SaaS, gaining hands-on experience with a growing product suite while learning how technology is scoped, configured, implemented and delivered for real-world clients and events.
What You'll Be Doing?
Once client requirements and the solution have been agreed, you’ll take ownership of bringing that solution to life.
You’ll:
- Configure gther products and platforms around individual client requirements
- Build and manage client environments ready for launch
- Manage data, content, branding, permissions and platform setup
- Work from agreed scopes and requirements to deliver the right solution
- Create and manage implementation plans, milestones and dependencies
- Work with clients to gather the information and assets needed for delivery
- Test configurations and complete user journeys before launch
- Support User Acceptance Testing and resolve implementation issues
- Troubleshoot technical and configuration challenges
- Identify blockers, risks or gaps early and help get them resolved
- Support client launches and, occasionally, live events
- Produce clear documentation and handover materials
- Develop templates, checklists and processes that make implementation faster and more consistent
- Feed recurring client requirements and opportunities back into our Product and Engineering teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for?
You don’t need to be a developer, but you do need to be technically confident, highly organised and naturally curious about how software works.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience in software implementation, SaaS, event technology, digital project delivery, onboarding or a similar environment
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence learning and configuring software platforms
- The ability to turn requirements into clear, practical actions
- Strong organisation and project management skills
- Confidence working directly with clients
- Good data and spreadsheet skills
- Strong testing and quality-control instincts
- Clear written and verbal communication
- The ability to manage several implementations and deadlines at once
- A proactive, accountable approach to getting things done
Experience in the events industry would be a real advantage. Events have fixed deadlines and little room for error, so understanding that environment matters.
Above all, we’re looking for someone who enjoys doing. Someone who gets satisfaction from taking a set of requirements, configuring the solution, testing it thoroughly and knowing it’s ready to go.
