We are looking for a reliable, organised and detail focused Import and Purchasing Compliance Controller to join our team.

The role combines purchasing, supplier compliance, import and export administration and data management.

Job Description

  • Process and chase purchase orders and supplier confirmations.
  • Maintain the supplier database and risk matrix.
  • Chase and validate ISO certificates, insurance, Codes of Conduct and due diligence questionnaires.
  • File and check import declarations and documentation.
  • Reconcile custom declarations.
  • Collect and maintain information required for CBAM compliance.
  • Arrange exports and export documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers, auditors, HMRC and other external organisations.
  • Support supplier audits as the role develops.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised, reliable and detail focused.
  • Thrive on building reliable, repeatable processes and can quickly review documentation to ensure it’s correct and meets requirements.
  • Confident communicating with suppliers and auditors.
  • Able to chase information and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets and documentation.

Experienced in purchasing, administration, compliance or import/export is advantageous, but full training will be provided.

Additional Information

This is a Monday to Friday role offering the opportunity to develop experience across purchasing, supplier management, and international trade and import compliance.

The role will also support Kronospan's increasing use of AI and automation to improve data and compliance processes.
