Role Description
The Import Export Coordinator role is a full-time hybrid position based in Greater London, with a combination of office work and some work-from-home flexibility. The coordinator will manage day-to-day import and export operations, including preparing and reviewing shipping and customs documentation, booking freight, and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery. Responsibilities include liaising with customers, carriers, and agents, resolving shipment issues, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements. The role involves maintaining accurate records, updating internal systems, and providing clear communication to stakeholders regarding shipment status and any delays or changes. The coordinator will also support continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency, cost control, and service quality.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Import Export processes, including both Import and Export operations.
- Proficiency in Export Documentation, with the ability to prepare, review, and manage customs and shipping paperwork accurately.
- Customer Service skills, with experience handling inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining professional relationships with clients and partners.
- Understanding of international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs compliance requirements.
- Good organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear email and documentation practices.
- Comfort with using logistics software, MS Office applications, and online customs or freight portals.
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain coordination is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
