Kingfisher is evolving the way it works to deliver better outcomes for our customers through operational agility, empowered teams and effective collaboration, and we have an exciting new opportunity for an Improvement and Change Lead to join us to help deliver this. You will design, shape and embed improvement and change initiatives that will help our technology teams work more effectively and efficiently across organisational boundaries, creating sustainable impact through partnership and continuous improvement.

This role is based out of our B&Q Head Office just outside Southampton, with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office and travel between sites as required.

What's the job?

  • Lead the scoping, planning and mobilisation of high-impact operating model and process improvement initiatives across technology teams.
  • Design and shape change activities that align with Kingfisher's strategy and technology operating model.
  • Define value, track benefits realisation and measure the impact of improvement initiatives to support continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders, implementation teams and key stakeholders, providing trusted advice and guidance throughout change programmes.
  • Support business leads and stakeholders to successfully adopt change by helping them understand impacts, risks and opportunities.
  • Equip teams with practical tools, insights and support, including workshops, readiness activities, communications and feedback mechanisms that enable successful adoption.
  • Monitor progress, gather feedback and adapt approaches where needed to ensure change activity remains effective, compliant and focused on long-term outcomes.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience designing and delivering operating model change and improvement initiatives within large, complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools, together with experience of process improvement.
  • Experience of end-to-end delivery lifecycles and a range of delivery methodologies, including Agile and product-focused ways of working.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence across a matrix organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn insight into practical, effective solutions in complex environments.
