IMT-LAS (Senior Clinical Fellow level) Role
We are seeking a IMT-LAS (Senior Clinical Fellow level) to join our well-established and supportive General Medicine team within Withybush General Hospital. This is a 6-month fixed-term post from 05/08/2026 to 02/02/2027.
This role closely mirrors higher specialty training, offering structured development and experience to support progression into ST training or portfolio pathway routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team delivering care across Acute Medicine & SDEC.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities.
- Engage in teaching and professional development opportunities.
- Work with a named supervisor to develop and progress a personalised development plan.
- Undertake additional training opportunities (e.g. community care or critical care) to support career progression where required.

Our Services
Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
- Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest
- Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire
- Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
- 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
