Job Summary
Are you ready to use your IM&T Technician skills in a way that makes a positive impact on peoples lives? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to become a member of our End User Compute team within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Your role will be within our EUC Operations Team, based both at the Leeds General Infirmary or St. James's University Hospital, reporting to the respective EUC Ops Team Leaders.
This position is part of a team providing day-to-day technical IT support for staff within Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. A critical part of the role will be extensive support for the ongoing Hardware Refresh programme designed to maintain our IT estate in a healthy and cyber secure condition.
The successful candidate must demonstrate an excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office backed up by at least three years’ experience within an IT support environment including a service desk. Although this post operates a flexi hour system there will be a requirement to cover the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, within the departmental rota. Travel to different sites within the Trust may be required as part of the post holder’s duties.

What You Will Bring To The Role
- Substantial experience within an IM&T support environment
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff within the Trust
- Extensive evidence of being a team player and putting the needs of others before your own.
- Good history of performance and attendance
- Ability to work within clearly defined operating policies with little direct supervision
- Sufficient skills and knowledge to provide a quality service to users of Trust IM&T technology
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrating an ability to deal with issues from service users using appropriate negotiation and persuasion skills
- Logical and analytical approach required to analyse situations/information to identify and resolve a range of IM&T related problems including computer system errors, user, programme problems
- Commitment and enthusiasm with a keen desire to attain high standards within a service environment
- Ability to remain focused and concentrated for prolonged periods whilst working under pressure
