About Mob
Mob is a rapidly growing cooking website + app with one key mission - to make weekly cooking fun, easy and delicious. We solve the common pain point of boring, time-consuming weekday meals by helping users create tasty, healthy dishes with minimal effort.
We are used by over 750,000 people spread across the UK, Australia & US, our ambition is to be the go-to app to optimise your cooking throughout the week.
Our data-driven, creative team collaborates daily to build features and recipes that ladder up to our mission. As a fast-paced start up, our core value is make it happen, succeed together.
What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for an In-App Video Editor to cut the recipe videos that fill our Inspire feed, turning our chefs' recipes into short videos that make people want to cook. This role is essential as we scale our video offering on the app.
You'll be one of the first people to work in our newly built, in-house AI video editing software. It assembles a first cut from raw footage and the recipe, and your job is to turn that into a polished, watchable video, and to tell us how the tool should improve. You'll be shaping a brand-new production workflow, not just using one.
We'll be upfront: this is not a highly creative editing role. Our Inspire feed videos follow a clear, step-by-step recipe format. If you're looking for experimental, social-first creative work, this isn't it. If you want to ship a serious volume of polished videos, get hands-on with genuinely new AI tooling, and gain solid experience at the UK's fastest growing recipe app, read on.
In a typical week you'll be:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
