About the Role
We're currently recruiting for Barristers and Solicitor Advocates to join our in-house Advocacy team focusing on Personal Injury and/or Medical Negligence matters. We welcome applications from candidates based across England and Wales, although we are particularly interested in candidates based outside of London at the moment.

This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously while being part of a collaborative national team, with regular travel required for court attendance, team collaboration, and advocacy commitments.
We're an established in-house advocacy team who provide advocacy services across our legal teams, including but not limited to Commercial Litigation, Employment, Family, Personal Injury & Medical Negligence.
Currently, we are specifically looking for Solicitor Advocates or Barristers with experience within Medical Negligence or Personal Injury, that would like to join our team.
You will work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure that the very best service is provided in meeting our client’s needs, by specifically, providing services to our clients in the most efficient and effective way. Not only will you get involved in drafting and advisory work, but you can also expect to undertake advocacy both remotely and in person. The team is fully supported by advocacy clerks overseeing paperwork and diary management.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse and challenging caseload, with regular courtroom advocacy and the chance to showcase and further develop your technical expertise. Joining our highly regarded Advocacy team, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of complex, multi-track, and high-value Medical Negligence/Personal Injury matters.
This role involves regular travel to attend court hearings and client-related commitments. Ideally, candidates will be based within reasonable commuting distance of one of our regional offices to support internal business development activities and team collaboration. However, we are open to considering candidates located outside of these areas (excluding London), depending on their experience and suitability for the role.
We're looking for Barristers who are perhaps wanting to move away from being self-employed and want to move in-house or Solicitors with higher rights of audience accreditation to join our in-house Advocacy team.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Barrister or Solicitor with higher rights of audience accreditation.
- Demonstrable technical experience in either Medical Negligence and/or Personal Injury law, with a strong track record of handling complex multi-track and high-value cases.
- The ability to undertake drafting, advisory, and conference work.
- Demonstratable experience performing advocacy work for either claimants or defendants.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the best outcomes for our case handlers.
- Excellent communication skills will be of paramount importance in the building of relationships with the case handlers who are looking after our clients on a day-to-day basis.
