A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an In-house Commercial Solicitor to join a highly successful retail business in Cheshire. Working as part of a growing legal team, you will provide commercially focused legal support across a wide range of business-critical matters, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and high-profile projects.

  • Providing legal support across the business and wider group on a broad range of commercial matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on commercial agreements, including framework agreements, IT contracts and trademark licences.
  • Advising on marketing initiatives, regulatory compliance, consumer law considerations and data protection matters.
  • Supporting the resolution of disputes and managing legal risk in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Managing a varied caseload, prioritising competing deadlines and delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice.

Profile

The In-house Commercial Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with 3+ years' PQE, although more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
  • Able to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable in data protection, intellectual property and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Experience of litigation, consumer law and corporate law would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Resilient, organised and capable of managing a busy workload within a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Job Offer

  • Salary between £65,000 and £75,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Permanent position based in Deeside.
