In-House Corporate Lawyer (2-6 PQE) – Private Equity & M&A

📍 Brighton | High-Growth Investment Environment

A dynamic and expanding private equity firm in Brighton is looking to appoint an ambitious Corporate Lawyer to join its in-house legal team. This opportunity is for a lawyer with experience levels from circa 4+ PQE who are seeking a more commercially embedded role.

This is a standout in-house position offering genuine exposure to the full private equity lifecycle. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and deal teams on high-quality transactions, playing a key role in shaping and executing investments.

  • Buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions
  • Private equity investments and exits
  • Drafting and negotiating key documentation (including SPAs, investment agreements and NDAs)
  • Managing and coordinating due diligence processes
  • Providing ongoing corporate and strategic advice to portfolio companies

Depending on your level of experience, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of transactions and act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership.

About You

  • UK-qualified solicitor with strong corporate experience (private practice or in-house)
  • Ideally a background in M&A, with exposure to private equity or complex transactions highly advantageous
  • Commercially minded, pragmatic, and confident working closely with non-legal stakeholders
  • For more senior candidates, a desire to step into a broader, business-facing role with real influence
