In-House Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £36,000 per annum / £18.77 per hour
Location: Poynton, Stockport
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Reference: ASPLIV

The Role:

We are looking for a qualified In-House Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established business, supporting the maintenance and upkeep of its site, equipment and facilities.

This is a varied role suited to someone with a strong electrical background who is also comfortable getting involved with general maintenance and facilities work when required.

The successful candidate must hold recognised electrical qualifications, including an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, alongside a 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site
  • Electrical testing, inspection and fault finding
  • Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs
  • Complete general maintenance and handyman duties when required
  • Carry out PAT testing and maintain relevant records
  • Support the maintenance of site facilities, equipment and assets
  • Use cloud-based safety and maintenance systems such as Atlas to document work and manage assets
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records
  • Support call-outs and additional maintenance requirements when necessary

Essential Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent
  • Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
  • Previous maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing or similar environment would be advantageous
  • IPAF Licence
  • EET / PAT trained
  • General maintenance / handyman experience
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours and occasional call-outs
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

  • Welding certification or previous welding experience
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
  • Previous industrial site maintenance experience
  • Experience using Atlas or similar cloud-based maintenance/safety systems
