In-house Legal Counsel

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Hybrid - Newmarket - 2 days on-site, 2 days WFH

Hours: 32 hours across a 4-day week (no salary sacrifice)

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000

Product: Group Level, Wonde, Evouchers & Secure Schools

Who we are and what is important to us:

Beyond unifies three technology-driven brands, Wonde, Evouchers and Secure Schools. Each brand shares a vision to reduce the friction of adapting technology, to help customers navigate an often overwhelming area and provide powerful solutions that make their everyday life easier. The three brands run independently with the autonomy to continue to prosper, although as part of the Beyond team, you’ll join a wider, supportive environment where you’ll be able to pull on the expertise and capabilities of the group. We do not limit ourselves to standing still. We look ahead and strive to disrupt the sector we operate in. We believe technology should not be complicated or overwhelming. It should do what it says - quickly, safely and efficiently.

Job snapshot:

As Beyond's Senior In-house Legal Counsel, you will be the business's go-to legal expert, working as a standalone specialist responsible for a broad range of legal matters across the group and its global, international operations. This is a hands-on, commercially minded role: you will handle day-to-day legal work yourself, provide strategic guidance at leadership level, and build the playbooks, tools, and AI-enabled processes that let the wider business handle simpler matters with confidence.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide pragmatic legal advice across corporate governance, commercial contracts, data privacy, and employment-related matters, acting as the first point of contact for legal queries across the business.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and be the first point of contact for a variety of commercial global contracts across all of Beyond's products, taking personal ownership of the more complex, high-value, or novel agreements, including SaaS agreements, licensing agreements, and partnership deals.
  • Support the building out of a commercial contract playbook and provide training so the sales team has the knowledge and confidence to handle less complex contracts themselves, using AI tools to support consistency, speed, and quality control.
  • Lead the control and management of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system across Beyond's product range, owning templates, workflows, and approval routes, and using it to give the business clear visibility of contract status and risk.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI to automate legal work where it is safe and appropriate to do so.
  • Advise on risk management and dispute resolution, ensuring minimal legal exposure for Beyond.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments in the tech industry, particularly around data protection (GDPR) and other emerging regulatory frameworks.
  • Act as a liaison with external legal counsel on specialised issues and litigation matters when required.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal departments, including HR, Information Security, Finance, and Product, to align legal advice with Beyond’s objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
