In House Litigation Solicitor

An In House Litigation Solicitor opportunity based in West Yorkshire, offering a varied defendant litigation caseload across employers liability, public liability, road traffic accident, property damage, and consumer disputes.

You will enjoy high-quality litigation work, modern legal technology, and the opportunity to influence process improvement and legal strategy.

Our client is a rapidly growing business services organization undergoing a significant period of transformation. The legal team plays a central role in supporting operational delivery, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

You will join a collaborative environment where lawyers work alongside paralegals and legal operations professionals, supported by investment in technology and professional development.

Description

The In House Litigation Solicitor will be:

  • Managing a portfolio of defendant litigation matters from pre-action through to resolution, including higher value and complex claims
  • Advising on legal strategy, risk, settlement opportunities, and compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
  • Working closely with paralegals, managers, and senior stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes and excellent client service
  • Supporting legal operations initiatives, process improvements, reporting, and the development of best practice documentation
  • Contributing to colleague development through mentoring, feedback, and knowledge sharing

Profile

The In House Litigation Solicitor should be:

  • A Solicitor or CILEX lawyer with litigation practice rights
  • Experienced in litigation with a strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Comfortable managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
  • Commercially aware and confident communicating with stakeholders at different levels
  • Interested in legal technology, process improvement, and modern ways of working

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary between £40,000 and £50,000, dependent on the level of experience
  • Hybrid working, 2 days in office
