Rolson Tools is a leading supplier of high-quality hand tools and DIY products. We are seeking a commercial, detail-oriented, and proactive professional for a dual-impact role. You will drive traditional management accounting and essential bookkeeping functions while actively overseeing day-to-day high-volume operational and financial data processing to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare timely, accurate monthly management accounts, conduct detailed variance analysis, and provide commercial commentary.
  • Core Bookkeeping: Oversee and maintain accurate ledger entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable inputs, and core day-to-day transaction records.
  • Data Integration: Manipulate, process, and consolidate high-volume data from multiple departments to ensure system integrity.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department managers to oversee cycles and leverage processed data to identify commercial trends.
  • Treasury & Audit: Manage cash flow forecasting, oversee working capital, and assist with year-end audit preparation and compliance.
  • Process Efficiencies: Identify cost control opportunities, margin improvements, and continuous processing workflow enhancements.

Professional Qualifications

  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA
  • We welcome applications from both fully qualified professionals and part-qualified finalists or active studiers who possess strong foundational bookkeeping and management accounting experience.

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced Excel & Power Query
  • ERP Systems & Data Modeling

Experience & Attributes

  • Hands-on experience in wholesale, distribution, or accountancy practice covering end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
  • High attention to detail and comfort handling large datasets.
  • Ability to translate complex numbers clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
