Personal Tax Contractor (6-Month FTC)

London | Hybrid Working (3 Days in Office) | 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Tax Advisor to join the in-house tax function of a highly regarded international professional services organisation.

This role would suit an ATT qualified, CTA studying, newly qualified CTA, Junior personal tax professional looking to make their first move in-house. You'll gain exposure to a sophisticated taxpayer population while working closely with experienced tax professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role

You will assist with the preparation and administration of UK personal tax returns and support the wider tax team during a busy period.

  • Assisting with the preparation of UK personal tax returns
  • Gathering and reviewing tax information from various sources
  • Liaising with stakeholders to obtain relevant tax documentation
  • Using tax software to prepare and process returns
  • Accessing and extracting information from HMRC online services
  • Supporting tax payment, filing, and compliance processes
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring deadlines are met

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience within personal tax compliance
  • ATT qualification, CTA studies in progress, or newly qualified CTA status
  • Good understanding of UK personal tax principles
  • Experience preparing self-assessment tax returns
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach
