IN HOUSE REAL ESTATE OPPORTUNITY – HEAD OF LEGAL [EDINBURGH] C 7 YRS PQE +
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior Real Estate lawyer to join a highly respected, privately owned property investment and development business in Edinburgh.
This is a sole in-house counsel role with a broad and commercially focused remit, supporting a diverse property portfolio and working closely with the senior leadership team. You will provide pragmatic, commercially driven legal advice across:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Commercial property acquisitions, disposals and asset management
- Landlord & tenant matters
- Development and construction projects
- Commercial contracts, corporate and governance matters
- Regulatory, ESG, risk and compliance issues
- Litigation and disputes
- Management of external legal advisers and legal spend
- Development of legal processes, templates and contract management
- Responsible adoption of AI and technology within legal operations

REQUIREMENTS:
We are keen to hear from lawyers with:
- 7+ years' PQE ideally
- Substantial commercial property / Real Estate transactional experience
- Strong experience across acquisitions, disposals and asset management
- Excellent commercial judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
- Confidence operating autonomously and advising senior stakeholders
- Strong relationship management and communication skills

Qualification:
Dual qualification in Scotland and England & Wales or English qualified is preferred. However, Scottish-qualified Real Estate lawyers will be considered.
