Working within the firm's Risk & Best Practice team, the successful candidate will help manage potential claims, complaints and regulatory issues while supporting the firm's wider approach to risk management. The role combines investigative, advisory and strategic work, providing broad exposure across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and manage potential professional negligence matters, complaints, regulatory breaches and near misses, recommending appropriate action.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, regulators, insurers, brokers and panel law firms.
- Support regulatory authorisations, practising certificate processes and professional indemnity insurance renewals.
- Monitor regulatory and legal developments, identifying emerging risks and potential areas of exposure.
- Develop risk training and contribute to policies, procedures and the firm's wider risk management framework.

About You
This opportunity would suit a qualified lawyer, particularly someone in the earlier stages of their career looking to develop specialist expertise in law firm risk.
- Experience in professional indemnity, insurance disputes, litigation, law firm risk or regulatory compliance would be particularly relevant.
- Knowledge of the SRA Standards and Regulations is desirable, alongside strong analytical and communication skills and a practical, commercially minded approach.
