The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join the legal team of a respected Welsh housing organisation that is committed to improving lives through the delivery and management of quality homes and community services.

The legal team works at the heart of the organisation, providing practical advice that supports operational teams while helping to protect the organisation’s interests.

This role offers a broad and engaging caseload with a particular focus on housing management and property related disputes. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will provide clear and commercially focused legal advice on a wide range of matters, ensuring legal risks are managed effectively while supporting the delivery of excellent services to tenants and communities.

Your work will include possession proceedings, injunctions, anti social behaviour matters, tenancy enforcement, disrepair claims, leasehold and service charge disputes, property litigation and other contentious property matters. You will also assist with the development of internal policies, contribute to legal training for colleagues and work alongside external advisers where required.

About You

You will be a qualified Solicitor with experience in housing, property litigation or civil litigation and will be confident managing your own caseload. You will enjoy building relationships with colleagues outside the legal team and be able to provide pragmatic, solution focused advice in a fast paced environment.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in working within an in house setting where legal advice directly supports the organisation’s wider purpose.
