An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Indirect Tax Assistant Manager to join the in-house Tax team of a prestigious international law firm. This varied and highly visible role offers exposure to both compliance and advisory work across a global business, alongside the opportunity to drive process improvements and enhance VAT governance.
The Role
Working as part of a collaborative and commercially focused tax team, you will play a key role in managing indirect tax matters across multiple jurisdictions while supporting the firm's ongoing growth and international operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee VAT compliance across the UK, EMEA and LATAM regions.
- Provide practical and commercially focused advice on UK and international VAT matters.
- Coordinate compliance activities with offshore finance teams and external advisers.
- Develop, maintain and enhance VAT policies, processes and internal guidance.
- Partner with Finance, Technology and Systems teams to strengthen VAT controls, reporting and governance.
- Support process improvement initiatives and help drive efficiencies across the indirect tax function.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong technical VAT background combined with the ability to build relationships across a complex international organisation.
You Will Have:
- Strong UK VAT compliance experience, including the preparation and review of VAT returns.
- Experience gained within a law firm, professional services environment, or a multinational organisation.
