Location: London / Greater London based. Remote, with travel into Europe.

Engagement: Freelance contract, three months, with potential to extend.

Job Description:

Thursday is bringing on one photographer/videographer and editor for three months to shoot and cut content across our events and brand partner campaigns.

You shoot it, you edit it, and you help our social team build a content stack out of it. You supply all your own kit. There is no crew and no hire budget, so what you own is what we shoot with.

Expect to travel into Europe at least three times over the contract. Dates and cities are confirmed as campaigns are booked, and you need to be able to move at reasonable notice.

What you will be shooting:

  • The mix moves month to month, but it covers:
    • Thursday events in the UK and across Europe, both our regular nights and one-off formats
    • Brand partner campaigns, which run as multi-event series across several cities and carry their own deliverables and sign-off
    • Standalone content shoots for social, paid media, and PR
    • Whatever the social team needs cut from existing footage between shoots

What you will deliver:

  • Treat every shoot as building a content library, not covering an event.
  • As a guide to the standard and volume, a recent brand partner campaign required, per event:
    • One vertical hero reel, 30 to 45 seconds, edited and graded
    • A minimum of 10 hero edited images, plus the wider selects
    • Live vertical story content pushed to the social team during the event, not after it

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Then across the campaign: a recap film per city at 45 to 60 seconds, one hero film at 60 to 90 seconds, and all usable RAW video and photography with high-resolution and web-ready exports. That is the bar. Individual briefs will vary.

Technical floor:

  • 4K minimum
  • Vertical 9:16 as the priority format, horizontal where it earns its place
  • Gimbal work
  • Slow motion where it suits
  • Clean B-roll and natural audio captured properly
  • Drone where the venue and local rules allow

Working with our social team:

  • This is not a shoot-and-hand-over-a-hard-drive job.
  • Between shoots you sit with our internal social team on the edit and on building a content stack: a tagged, organized library the team can pull from for months afterwards, rather than a folder of exports nobody can navigate.
  • That means you will be in spreadsheets as well as timelines. Shot logs, delivery trackers, asset naming, version control, and turnaround dates all sit with you.

What we need from you:

  • Full edit capability. You shoot it and you cut it. Video edit, grade, sound, and photo retouch to a commercial standard.
  • High-end photography, not video stills. Editorial lifestyle, environmental portraits, product, and crowd scenes.
  • Your own kit, all of it. Cameras, lenses, microphones, audio recorders, lighting, gimbal, batteries, cards, storage, and backup. If you need it to produce, you own it.
  • Strong Excel and G-Suite. You will run the shot log, the delivery tracker, and the asset library yourself.
  • UK-based, with a valid passport and the right to travel and work in the EU for short assignments.
  • Available to travel into Europe at least three times over the three months, on dates confirmed in advance but not fixed at the point of hiring.
  • A reel and a stills portfolio that shows events or brand work. Not weddings, not corporate talking heads.

What will make you stand out:

  • Previous work with a brand partner where product had to appear without looking planted
  • Fast turnaround on social assets, same-day or next-day
  • Based in London or Greater London
  • Comfortable shooting solo in a busy room without a producer running interference
