About the Role:

The purpose of this role is to provide an invaluable service to our colleagues in BT, covering the whole colleague lifecycle, delivering high-quality support with outstanding colleague experience. Using data analysis to perform an Insight led service for our stakeholders and colleagues, to improve process though a continuous improvement lens.

Our aim is understanding our colleague’s priorities and use our knowledge & experience to create the right solutions for them. You will be a trusted colleague by providing a consistent and high-quality service while being flexible to work across boundaries. You will also be seen as a coach to our HR Support teams in geographical locations, as well as support to your Team Leader, including supporting to resolve any escalations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Drive operational success through insight led analysis.
  • Driving improvement and change; apply root cause analysis approach.
  • Review current processes to identify and highlight continuous improvement opportunities to implement across workstreams.
  • Monitor standards through quality checking, calling out where there are shortcomings and work on solutions to prevent this in the future.
  • Mentoring and coaching colleagues to deliver a great service.
  • Inclusive view when leading change.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Collaboration: Work effectively and efficiently with colleagues to deliver a first-class service, be seen as personable & support each other to achieve SLAs & overcome problems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continually look at ways of improving process and procedures within the HR Function, enabling a more seamless experience for our colleagues.
  • Problem Solving & Communication: Ability to unpick complex issues, identify the cause and propose a solution with the ability to clearly articulate advice/resolution in a way that our customers will understand written and verbally.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Confidentiality: Understand the need for confidentiality in regard to documents processed, systems maintained and access to confidential material within the HR community.
  • Colleague Experience: Delivering a service which goes above and beyond our colleagues’ expectations, especially when it comes to resolving problems. Showing the customer (our colleagues) how important they are by always interacting in a helpful & positive way & putting the need of our colleagues first. Be a trusted advocate through building rapport and providing honest and professional HR expertise.
  • IT Competency: Able to learn/pick up how to use internal systems as there are a variety of systems to use within the role.
  • Knowledge Retention: Ability to understand and retain a large breadth of HR process & policy.
