Job Description
SCOPE OF POSITION
As the In-Room Dining Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the in-room dining, providing personalised service that meets the highest luxury standards. Ensure that guests receive impeccable service, quality food and beverages, and an exceptional dining experience in the comfort of their rooms.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guest rooms, maintaining a standard of luxury and attention to detail.
- Anticipate guest needs and personalise the service to create memorable dining experiences.
- Resolve guest complaints or special requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience.
- Supervise, train, and motivate the in-room dining team, ensuring they adhere to hotel service standards.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily priorities, special requests, or VIP guests.
- Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and development opportunities, and ensure proper grooming and uniform standards are met.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of in-room dining trays, trolleys, and service stations, ensuring cleanliness and order at all times.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist staff and respond to guest inquiries.
- Ensure all food and beverage orders are accurately processed and delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Implement and uphold hotel policies and procedures, including security measures when delivering to guest rooms.
- Monitor guest feedback and reviews, implementing improvements to service where necessary.
- Create the work schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for peak service times.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage or In-Room Dining operations, preferably within a luxury hotel environment.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills, with a passion for delivering personalised luxury hospitality experiences.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, food safety, and health & safety requirements.
- Good organisational and administrative skills, including rota management, training coordination, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
