Role Description

The In Store Tailor is a full-time, on-site position based in Oxford. This role is responsible for carrying out appointments, fittings, and knowledge on measuring for custom-made and ready-to-wear garments to meet client specifications and brand standards. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Taking precise measurements
  • Advising clients on fit and style
  • Pinning and marking garments
  • Pressing/stramibg and ensuring all pieces are finished to a high level of quality

The in store tailor will collaborate with the other team members to support in-store appointments, prepare garments for collection, and maintain an organized work area and alteration schedule. The role also involves helping to present the collection on the shop floor, visual merchandising, and contributing to a welcoming, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to support a high-quality, personalized client experience.
  • Experience in Retail Sales and client interaction within a luxury or premium fashion environment.
  • Excellent Organization Skills for managing fittings, alteration timelines, and garment tracking.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship aligned with luxury tailoring standards.
  • Ability to work on-site in Oxford, including weekends or retail peak periods as required.
