Job Description

Hours of Work

  • 21.75 per week total
    • INA: 11 hours
    • TA3: 6 hours 45 minutes
    • MDSA: 4 hours

Working Pattern

  • Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

The above salary will be pro rata.

Fixed Term

  • Child linked –fixed term with the potential of a permanent contract.

INA (Individual Needs Assistant)

Salary:
SS3, point 7 £25,614.00 pa pro rata

Hours:
Total weekly hours = 11 hours
Monday-Wednesday 9-12pm and Thursday 10-12pm
Term Time Only

Role Details:
Please be aware this post is linked to the child’s funding allocation.
The hours for this post will be as follows:
Monday-Wednesday 9-12pm and Thursday 9-11am working 1:1 with a child

Responsibilities:
We are looking for a gifted INA to join our school team to work with a pupil to support the provision in their EHCP. Experience working with pupils with complex needs including autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is highly desirable. Please note that this part of the role will be working one to one with a child.
The ideal candidate will:

  • Be enthusiastic and committed to developing the whole child, both personally and academically, and have a passion for learning.
  • Be highly motivated, work well as part of a small team, and be committed to engaging with pupils in a positive, calm, and caring way.
  • Have experience of delivering individual support plans under the direction of the class teacher and some knowledge of sensory circuits, emotional regulation strategies, and other similar supports.

Monday-Wednesday 1-3.15pm

  • Supporting individuals and groups of pupils with their learning.
  • Delivering targeted interventions and activities.
  • Providing encouragement and helping children develop confidence and independence.
  • Working alongside class teachers to support effective teaching and learning.
  • Adapting activities to meet the needs of different learners.
  • Promoting positive behavior and creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

MDSA (Midday Supervisor)

Salary:
SS3 point 7 £25,614.00 pa pro rata

Monday-Thursday 12-1pm
Term Time Only

Responsibilities:

  • Encouraging positive play, behaviors, and manners.
  • Following our behavior policy at all times.
  • Supporting children to resolve friendship issues and minor disagreements.
  • Organising and encouraging positive playground activities and games.
  • Helping children who may need additional support.
  • Ensuring children are safe and well cared for at all times.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Promoting our school's values of kindness, respect, and inclusion.
  • Following our behavior policy at all times.
  • Communicating with colleagues in a timely manner.
