Inbound Logistics Coordinator Opportunity at Greenhous High Ercall
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inbound Logistics Coordinator to join the team at Greenhous High Ercall. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their career within logistics and supply chain.
Role Overview
The role is responsible for coordinating the inbound movement of vehicles, assets and products from ports, suppliers, manufacturers and distribution partners through to preparation and onward delivery locations. You will ensure accurate system updates, effective communication with key stakeholders and the timely movement of stock, while resolving any logistics issues to support operational and customer requirements.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5.00 pm i.e. 42.5 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).
Salary: £28,089.10 per annum
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination
- Monitor inbound shipments and update internal fleet, logistics, or transport management systems with location and status information.
- Track movement of assets through ports, compounds, storage facilities, preparation centres, and distribution hubs.
- Ensure system records accurately reflect current locations, availability, and operational status.
- Coordinate movement to preparation, inspection, storage, or delivery locations.
- Verify customer destinations and delivery requirements are reflected correctly within operational systems.

Stakeholder Management
- Act as a central point of contact between suppliers, transport providers, ports, preparation centres, sales teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Coordinate priorities and provide updates regarding incoming stock, schedules, delays, and exceptions.
Transport and ETA Management
- Monitor inbound delivery schedules and ETAs.
- Chase transport providers and logistics partners for ETA updates.
- Escalate delays, risks, and service concerns.
Operational System Management
- Maintain accurate logistics records and reports.
- Record location changes, operational holds, and exceptions.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare and distribute KPI packs and performance reports for hauliers, transport providers, suppliers, and operational stakeholders.
- Analyse performance data relating to service levels, lead times, delivery performance, damage incidents, and operational exceptions.
- Support performance review meetings through accurate management information and reporting.
Issue Resolution
- Manage delays, holds, routing issues, location discrepancies, and damage reports.
Customer and Sales Support
- Provide logistics support, allocation guidance, and stock updates to internal stakeholders.

Ideally, we are looking for:
- Experience in logistics, transport, fleet, supply chain, or operational administration.
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using logistics, transport, fleet, ERP, or inventory systems.
- Strong analytical skills and experience producing KPI reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
