Responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient receipt of all incoming goods and materials into the business. Ensure deliveries are checked against purchase orders and delivery documentation, accurately processed within SAP, and directed to the appropriate inspection, storage or production area.
The role is responsible for identifying and reporting discrepancies, shortages, damage or documentation issues at the point of receipt, maintaining accurate and traceable records, and working closely with Purchasing, Quality, Planning and Warehouse teams to ensure materials are received and made available to the business in a timely manner.
Maintain high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping and 5S within the Goods Receiving area while supporting the continuous improvement of Goods In processes.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Receive and unload all incoming deliveries safely and efficiently, using appropriate material handling equipment including forklift trucks where required.
- Check all incoming goods against purchase orders, delivery notes and associated documentation to ensure the correct part numbers, quantities and materials have been received.
- Accurately process and book incoming goods into SAP, ensuring all transactions are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Carry out visual inspections of incoming materials and packaging for signs of damage, contamination or other obvious quality concerns before materials are released into the business.
- Ensure part numbers, descriptions, quantities and other relevant information match the associated purchase order and delivery documentation.
- Identify, record and promptly report any shortages, over-deliveries, incorrect materials, damaged goods or documentation discrepancies.
- Ensure materials requiring Incoming Goods Inspection are correctly identified and transferred to the designated inspection area.
- Ensure relevant certification and documentation received with materials is identified and processed in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain clear traceability between incoming materials, delivery documentation, purchase orders and associated certification where required.
- Ensure materials are correctly labelled and directed to the appropriate put-away, inspection, quarantine or production area following receipt.
- Ensure materials are handled and stored correctly during the Goods In process to prevent damage, deterioration or loss.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Quality, Planning, Warehouse and other relevant departments to resolve Goods In issues and prevent unnecessary delays to production.
- Maintain accurate records of Goods In discrepancies and provide information to relevant departments to support supplier performance and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain the Goods Receiving, unloading and surrounding areas to agreed 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Ensure designated unloading areas, pedestrian routes and material handling areas remain safe, organised and free from obstruction.
- Follow all company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures when carrying out Goods Receiving activities.
- Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, material handling concerns or other risks immediately to the appropriate manager or Team Leader.
- Support stock checks, investigations and annual inventory activities where required.
- Take an active role in continuous improvement activities relating to Goods Receiving, material flow, quality, safety and process efficiency.
- Support other reasonable Goods In and Warehouse activities as required to meet operational and business requirements.
- Assist with housekeeping in the production areas, Goods In, Warehouse and yard, ensuring all areas are maintained to the required housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Whilst undertaking duties, ensure that all Company policies and procedures are adhered to, including HSE and Quality requirements.
- Take an active part in Health & Safety standdowns, briefings and other safety-related activities as required.

Who You Are:
- You have the capability to efficiently and accurately handle complex tasks.
- You are self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Experience of Goods Receiving and general Warehouse activities.
- FLT and Reach Truck license desirable.
- Computer literate.
- Numerate and literate.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately and follow defined processes and procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience of SAP highly desirable.
