Location: Work From Home

Start Date: 2nd November

Hours per week: 40

Shifts: 8-hour shifts within 8am–7pm (Mon–Fri) and 8:30am–5pm (Sat–Sun). Flexibility is required, with shifts set on a 4-week rotation for 8–12 weeks.

What will you as a Sales Agent do?

As a B2C Inbound Phone Sales Agent, you will be responsible for handling incoming sales calls from individual consumers and converting inquiries into sales opportunities. Your primary focus will be on engaging with potential customers, understanding their needs, and effectively promoting products or services to meet those needs. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.

  • Take Inbound Sales Calls: Answer incoming sales calls per day from our customers, who are based in the UK, Ireland and North America, promptly and professionally and listen actively to customer inquiries, understand their needs, and recommend appropriate products or services.
  • Identify Opportunities: Provide accurate product information, pricing details, and promotional offers to potential customers. Guide customers through the purchasing process, including order placement, payment processing, and upselling or cross-selling additional products.
  • Overcome objections: Address customer objections and concerns, on pricing, delivery expectations etc in a proactive and empathetic manner to overcome barriers to purchase and use selling techniques to effectively communicate the benefits of our products and services.
  • Take Initiative: We want to provide a best-in-class customer experience. You’ll collaborate with product suppliers to gather detailed information, sometimes beyond what's available on our website, to help enhance the customer experience with in-depth product knowledge to meet their needs.
  • Is Target Driven: Collaborate with sales team members and management to achieve individual and team sales targets. Actively take on board feedback provided in regular coaching sessions to ensure you follow our structured sales process and call flow.
  • Demonstrate Reliability: Attendance and commitment to being present and on time for your full shift each day is crucial. For unexpected events or issues, we require our agents to be proactive in their communication and planning whenever possible.
  • Stay Engaged: Maintain focus and professionalism throughout your shift, actively participating in team activities and embracing our collaborative culture.
  • Adapt to Technology: Navigate our systems with ease, staying up-to-date with technology changes and using your tech proficiency to resolve customer questions quickly and effectively.
  • Flexibility: You should be prepared for possible schedule changes and the potential for mandatory overtime during peak seasons of business when our customers need us the most.

What Skills Will You Demonstrate

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in a call center/retail/virtual environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically while working under pressure and within a fast-paced environment
  • Engaging communicator, who can effectively connect with customers to promote appropriate product solutions and influence purchasing from Wayfair
  • Self driven and motivated, with a positive competitive nature to meet and exceed sales targets consistently.
  • Comfort with technology, both in navigating multiple systems simultaneously and learning new software required for the role.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

As well as the;

  • Ability to maintain the required internet speed of at least 25 Mbps (download) and 5 (upload) to support voice traffic and HTTPS web traffic using a hard-wire Ethernet internet connection (no WiFi)
  • A workspace that is free from noise or distraction (Wayfair provides all necessary computer equipment)
