About The Team

You’ll be joining the JINGDONG Logistics team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Summary

Oversee and coordinate inbound logistics operations to ensure efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods within JD.COM INTERNATIONAL UK LTD's warehouse facility. This role involves leading a team to maintain high operational standards and adherence to company policies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train a team of inbound associates, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor the receiving, unloading, sorting, and put-away processes for all incoming shipments.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management, including discrepancy resolution and data entry into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Optimize inbound workflows to maximize efficiency, reduce processing times, and minimize errors.
  • Collaborate with procurement, inventory, and outbound teams to ensure smooth flow of goods and resolve operational issues.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for team members and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Maintain accurate records of inbound activities, including daily reports on productivity, quality, and attendance.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inbound operations and overall warehouse performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the inbound department.
  • Operate and oversee the use of material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a supervisory role within a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment, specifically in inbound operations.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions for operational improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Forklift certification (reach truck, counterbalance) and experience operating various material handling equipment preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as operational needs dictate.
  • Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations pertinent to warehouse operations.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
