Salary: £36,578 to £42,391 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent | Full time 37 hours per week

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Inclusion Lead to play a key role in ensuring that all students within our Childcare and Health department receive the support they need to succeed.
This is a pivotal role, leading the identification, coordination, and monitoring of support for learners experiencing barriers to learning. Working closely with curriculum staff and support teams, you will ensure needs are identified early and that appropriate, high-quality interventions are implemented in a timely and effective way. You will collaborate proactively with teaching staff to embed inclusive practice, supporting them to adapt their teaching and remove barriers so that all learners can achieve their full potential.
As Inclusion Lead, you will take responsibility for developing staff confidence and capability through coaching, mentoring, and targeted training. You will also oversee the effectiveness of support strategies, using data and insight to identify trends, address challenges early, and continuously improve the learner experience.
You will work closely with the Additional Learning Support team to support learners with identified needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans, contributing to EHCP reviews, learner support plans, and wider quality improvement activity. In addition, you will line manage a team of Youth Learning Mentors, ensuring that interventions positively impact behaviour, engagement, confidence, and achievement. Through your leadership, you will help foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every learner feels valued and able to succeed.
This opportunity would particularly suit someone working in a SENCO or inclusion-focused role within schools who is looking to broaden their experience and make a difference in the Further Education sector.

We are looking for an inspiring and knowledgeable individual with a strong commitment to inclusion and learner success. You will bring experience of leading or managing a team alongside a deep understanding of SEND, equality legislation, and inclusive teaching practices.

You will be confident in working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and able to influence and support teaching staff to continuously improve their practice. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be able to coach and motivate others while maintaining a clear focus on achieving positive outcomes for learners. You will also be proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and implement effective strategies that respond to the evolving needs of students.
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Teaching qualification (must be willing to work towards Level 6 PGCE if not already held)
- Relevant Level 4 qualification
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
- Experience of leading a team
- Expertise in SEND, equality legislation, quality first teaching, and inclusive pedagogy
