We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, compassionate and proactive Inclusion Officer to join our friendly and forward-thinking pastoral team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a thriving school that places the wellbeing of pupils and staff at the heart of everything we do, and which is fully committed to supporting the ongoing professional development of its employees.

Scissett Middle School is a thriving, distinctive and highly successful school for pupils aged 10 to 13 (Years 6 to 8). Our young people are a pleasure to work with, demonstrating excellent behaviour, positive attitudes and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. As part of a strong local education partnership, we benefit from the resources, collaboration and opportunities associated with larger schools, while maintaining the close-knit, supportive atmosphere that makes our school such a special place to work and learn.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and maintaining our high standards of behaviour, attendance and pupil welfare. Responsibilities will include undertaking on-call duties, conducting pastoral investigations, managing day-to-day behavioural issues and helping pupils resolve challenges positively and constructively. The role will also involve building strong relationships with parents and carers to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils. In addition, the Inclusion Officer will be an integral member of the school's safeguarding team, working closely with colleagues, families and external agencies to ensure that every pupil is supported to thrive both personally and academically during their time at Scissett Middle School.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
