Income and Allocations Assistant

We are looking for an Income and Allocations Assistant to provide essential administrative support to our Income & Allocations team. You will mainly have telephone contact with our customers; however, there will be some face-to-face contact within the office. You will also work closely with the Tenancies, Customer Ambassadors and Built Environment teams to ensure excellent customer service.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist Income Officers with monitoring Universal Credit verifications, former tenant and car parking rent accounts.
  • Assist the team and wider directorate with administrative duties which will include arranging customer homes visits, confirmation letters, arranging meetings, recording notes and outcomes, and updating Officers.
  • Give advice and support to customers and other social landlords regarding our mutual exchange cases.
  • Assist the team with enquiries regarding housing applications from our customers and Local Authorities.
  • Keeping our client record systems up to date.

What we are looking for

  • Excellent ICT / MS Office skills.
  • The ability to organise your own workload whilst juggling conflicting priorities and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and build effective working relationships with a variety of people.
  • An understanding of confidentiality and the ability to deal sensitively with difficult situations.
  • Previous experience in customer service and liaising with customers by phone when required.

Please note the office expectancy of this role is as follows: This role will require you in full time initially for a period of training before moving to hybrid working where the office requirement is a minimum of 2 days a week or as per business need.
