Income Officer

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Northwich who are recruiting for an Income Officer on a temporary eight-week contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £25 per hour via an Umbrella company.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have used the QL system previously, have a basic DBS certificate, or be happy to have one carried out, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Income Management.

Duties

  • Managing a patch of tenants to maximise rental income and minimise arrears
  • Monitoring rent accounts and taking proactive action to prevent arrears escalating
  • Negotiating and monitoring repayment arrangements with customers in arrears
  • Taking enforcement action in line with tenancy agreements and relevant legislation
  • Preparing cases for court proceedings and provide evidence where required
  • Working closely with Housing Officers, legal teams and external agencies to resolve complex arrears cases
