About The Company
An emerging AI healthcare company is developing proprietary clinical intelligence solutions to transform specialty care.
Following successful seed funding, early health system partnerships, and commercial deployment, the company is entering its next phase of growth and is seeking an experienced Independent Board Director to help guide its long-term strategy and expansion across the U.S. healthcare market.
The Role
The company is seeking an Independent Board Director to provide strategic oversight and independent guidance as it scales its AI-powered healthcare platform.
Working closely with the CEO, founders, and investors, the successful candidate will contribute to board-level discussions around AI strategy, commercial growth, fundraising, market positioning, and enterprise healthcare partnerships.
This is a non-operational governance role focused on strategic leadership and executive oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Board Governance & Strategic Leadership
- Provide independent strategic guidance to the Board and executive leadership team.
- Challenge and support executive decision-making on long-term business strategy.
- Contribute to discussions regarding organizational growth and corporate governance.
- Help shape the company's long-term vision and strategic priorities.

AI & Commercial Strategy
- Advise on the commercial application of AI within healthcare.
- Help refine the company's positioning as an AI-first healthcare organization.
- Provide strategic insight into AI market trends and competitive positioning.
- Support long-term commercialization strategy.
Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Advise leadership on fundraising strategy and capital planning.
- Support engagement with institutional investors and strategic stakeholders.
- Provide guidance during future financing activities.
Market Expansion
- Advise on enterprise health system partnerships and market expansion opportunities.
- Leverage industry relationships to support commercial growth.
- Provide strategic insight into healthcare market dynamics and adoption strategies.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Experience serving as a Founder, CEO, Board Director, or senior executive within an AI-focused healthcare organization.
- Deep expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or clinical AI applications.
- Experience building, funding, and scaling venture-backed technology companies.
- Strong credibility with Boards of Directors, executive leadership teams, and investors.
- Demonstrated experience shaping commercial strategy and market positioning.

Preferred Experience
- Experience working with U.S. health systems, payer organizations, or value-based care models.
- Background supporting AI commercialization within regulated healthcare environments.
- Established network across healthcare, AI, and venture capital ecosystems.
Compensation & Benefits
- Board-level appointment with approximately 2 hours of commitment per month
