About the Role

Our client is a leading strategy consulting firm dedicated exclusively to the life sciences industry, with a London office serving European and global clients. Within the firm, this role sits in the practice that supports private equity investors and corporate acquirers through the deal lifecycle, from pre-deal commercial due diligence and vendor assistance through to post-close strategy and value creation support.

Our client is expanding their freelance associate network to flex capacity across live deal and strategy engagements, and is looking for experienced, deal-ready consultants who can be deployed at short notice on high-quality, fast-paced projects.

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced freelance consultant to join project teams on Strategy and Commercial Due Diligence engagements within Healthcare & Life Sciences.

This is a flexible, project-based role suited to an independent professional who can integrate quickly into lean deal teams, take ownership of workstreams, and deliver under tight deadlines typical of transaction timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and/or lead workstreams on commercial due diligence engagements, including market sizing, growth driver analysis, competitive landscaping, and customer/KPI analysis
  • Design and execute primary research programmes, including expert calls, customer/payer interviews, and stakeholder interviews to validate the investment thesis
  • Conduct secondary research and synthesise data from industry databases, analyst reports, regulatory filings, and proprietary sources
  • Support post-deal strategy and value creation workstreams for investor clients, including 100-day planning, growth strategy, and portfolio company support, where engagements extend beyond the initial diligence phase
  • Develop clear, structured, client-ready outputs (Word/PowerPoint) that translate complex analysis into commercially relevant conclusions and risk/opportunity assessments
  • Support the drafting of vendor/red flag CDD reports and management presentations under deal timelines
  • Collaborate with core team members, senior advisors, and subject matter experts across therapeutic areas, care settings, and healthcare business models
  • Where relevant, contribute sector expertise or an existing expert/KOL network to strengthen research quality and speed

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
