An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Adviser to take over an established and loyal client portfolio based in Scotland.

This role is ideal for an adviser who enjoys building long-term client relationships, delivering high-quality financial planning, and developing new business through referrals and professional connections.

The Role

As a trusted Financial Adviser, you will work closely with clients to understand their financial circumstances, objectives and long-term aspirations. Supported by an experienced paraplanning and client support team, you will deliver tailored financial planning solutions that help clients achieve their goals. You will also provide an ongoing review service, ensuring clients' financial plans remain aligned with their changing circumstances, market conditions and legislative developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional financial advice in accordance with FCA regulations and internal compliance procedures.
  • Manage an established portfolio of clients, delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
  • Conduct and document annual client review meetings.
  • Follow a structured financial planning process while maintaining high service standards.
  • Use cashflow modelling and financial planning tools, where appropriate, to help clients understand the value and impact of your advice.
  • Work collaboratively with paraplanners and client support teams to deliver an outstanding client experience.
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients and convert opportunities into long-term business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with professional introducers and referral partners.
  • Ensure all client records and documentation meet compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Generate new business opportunities through referrals, existing client relationships and other lead sources.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the business through strong relationship management and professional networking.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced Financial Adviser with strong technical knowledge.
  • Preferably Chartered or working towards
  • Personable, approachable and able to build trust quickly.
  • Passionate about understanding clients' goals and delivering tailored advice.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working with support teams.
  • Professional, organised and committed to delivering outstanding client outcomes.
  • Energetic, driven and focused on providing an exceptional client experience.
