Company Description

Lazenby’s Financial Services is an independent financial advisory firm dedicated to helping clients at every stage of their financial planning journey build secure futures on solid foundations. The team provides a wide range of services, including pension and retirement planning, investment fund advice, and inheritance tax planning. As truly independent advisers, they focus on personal service and unbiased guidance, creating bespoke financial plans tailored to each client’s objectives and attitude to risk. Relationships begin with an in-depth, consultative process to fully understand clients’ needs and aspirations, starting with an initial consultation offered at no cost.

Role Description

The Independent Financial Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Leeds. This role involves meeting with clients to understand their financial goals, risk profile, and personal circumstances, and then developing tailored financial plans and recommendations.

  • Providing pension and retirement planning advice
  • Reviewing and recommending investment options
  • Advising on tax-efficient strategies such as inheritance tax planning
  • Regularly monitoring and reviewing client portfolios
  • Preparing clear reports and documentation
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial products, regulations, and market developments
  • Building long-term client relationships
  • Working closely with the wider advisory team
  • Adhering to all compliance and ethical standards

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Financial Planning and Financial Advisory, with the ability to design bespoke, client-focused strategies.
  • Solid knowledge of Finance and Investments, including portfolio construction and risk management.
  • Experience in Retirement Planning, including pensions, drawdown strategies, and long-term income planning.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent) and regulatory authorization where required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and build trust with diverse clients.
  • High level of ethical integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and ongoing professional development.
  • Proven experience in an advisory or client-facing financial services role; prior work in independent financial advice is an advantage.
