Independent Living Maintenance Officer
Location: Oxfordshire (travel around 6 of our sites based in Oxfordshire)
Salary: up to £28,000 including £2,000 car allowance
Contract: Full Time | Permanent
This role requires travel between schemes; therefore, a valid driving licence and use of a vehicle are essential.

We're looking for an Independent Living Maintenance Officer to join our team, helping to maintain safe, welcoming, and well-presented independent living schemes across our communities.
As an Independent Living Maintenance Officer, you'll be responsible for delivering responsive and planned maintenance across a portfolio of independent living schemes. You'll carry out minor repairs, support the upkeep of communal areas, conduct regular site inspections, and help ensure our buildings remain safe, secure, and enjoyable places for customers to live.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance in communal areas and individual properties within agreed service standards.
- Conduct regular estate inspections and identify repair, maintenance, and health and safety issues.
- Monitor repair requests and ensure works are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Provide on-site oversight for repairs delivered by the in-house repairs service, acting as the escalation point and primary on-site contact for contractors while overseeing communal repair works.
- Build positive relationships with residents, gathering feedback and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to maintenance planning and service improvement initiatives.
What we're looking for:
- Experience carrying out minor maintenance or repair tasks
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence working independently and using your own initiative.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexibility to work across different locations.
- Experience supporting or working with vulnerable people or customers with support needs.
