Job Description

SCTS is seeking an independent non-executive member to join its Audit and Risk Committee, bringing substantial senior-level experience of cyber security and organisational resilience. We are looking for someone who has held strategic responsibility for cyber security, cyber risk, information security or digital resilience within a large or complex organisation.

SCTS provides support to the judiciary and to courts, tribunals and the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) to enable the efficient and effective operation of the justice system. SCTS is currently pursuing a range of reforms intended to improve the operation of Scotland’s justice system and the service provided to all those who use it – further information on our work can be found in our Corporate Plan 2026-29 and on our website.

The Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) supports the Board in its responsibilities in relation to issues of risk, control and governance by reviewing and challenging the comprehensiveness, reliability and integrity of assurances provided to them by the SCTS Accountable Officer (the Chief Executive). Further information on the SCTS Board and Audit & Risk Committee is available here.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
