About Waythrough

Waythrough was established in 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship, creating one of the largest mental health and social support charities in England. Each year, we support approximately 125,000 people across nearly 200 services, made possible by our team of 3,500 dedicated staff and volunteers.

Make a Real Difference

Are you passionate about empowering people to live safer, healthier, and more independent lives? At Waythrough, you’ll support individuals facing challenges in mental health, substance use, housing, and domestic abuse.

If you’re a Nurse or Pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber qualification and a commitment to delivering **high-quality, evidence-based treatments in substance misuse, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re seeking dedicated professionals to join Barnsley Recovery Steps—where your work will make a meaningful and lasting impact on people’s lives, families, and local communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) model in one of England’s largest complex integrated treatment services for substance misuse.
  • Provide independent prescribing of treatments for those affected by substance use issues.
  • Offer evidence-based support and interventions within a collaborative team.
  • Contribute to clinical supervisions, case management, and continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Utilise your expertise to help break down barriers and improve access to care.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
