Slinic is a national weight loss clinic specialising in safe, effective, medically supervised weight loss programmes that deliver sustainable results. Role Description

This on-site Independent Prescribing Pharmacist role is based at Slinic’s clinic in Brierfield. The pharmacist will provide face-to-face consultations for weight management patients, assess medical histories, and independently prescribe appropriate weight loss medications, including injectable therapies, in line with clinical guidelines and clinic protocols. The pharmacist will play a key role in maintaining high-quality, patient-centred care within a fast-growing, specialist weight loss service.

Qualifications

  • Independent prescriber qualification and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Proven experience in clinical pharmacy, ideally in weight management, endocrinology, or primary care.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based prescribing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for delivering clear, compassionate patient counselling.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development.
  • High standards of accuracy in documentation, record-keeping, and medicines management.
  • Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
  • Comfort with using digital clinical systems, electronic records, and online consultation tools.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic clinical environment and adapt to evolving protocols and guidelines.
