Independent Prescribing Pharmacist - CD Pin

Location: Stansted, Essex
Working Hours: Full-time

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented Prescription Administration Officer to join a growing telemedicine healthcare provider specialising in medicinal cannabis services. The successful candidate will support the accurate and timely administration of prescriptions, ensuring all documentation is processed securely and in line with established procedures and regulatory requirements. This is an administrative role and does not involve clinical prescribing, dispensing or making clinical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor prescription workflows and ensure requests are ready for processing.
  • Check patient details, prescription information and payment status before printing.
  • Coordinate prescriptions with prescribers for signature.
  • Scan and reconcile signed prescriptions against electronic records.
  • Support prescription labelling and the handover of documentation to the pharmacy team.
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies, errors or incomplete information.
  • Maintain accurate records and audit trails while ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Follow company procedures and data protection requirements at all times.

About You

  • Previous experience in administration, healthcare administration, pharmacy administration or a similar regulated environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Confident using digital systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow established procedures.
  • A reliable, professional approach with a strong focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
