What is this role about?

The Pricing Officer – Independent Retail and Industrial (IIP) is responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing pricing strategies that balance profitability with market competitiveness. The role ensures pricing accuracy, approves special pricing requests, supports the Sales Team in structuring deals, and maintains critical pricing and cost databases. Additionally, the officer collaborates with key internal teams to assess market trends, historical data, and customer performance to drive strategic pricing decisions that align with company goals.

What will YOU do?

  • Analyze SEAOIL’s product pricing in comparison to market trends and competitor pricing to support competitive positioning
  • Calculate and validate daily product costs per terminal and recommend floor prices based on inventory, market cost, and historical data
  • Evaluate and approve discount, price match, lifting extension, and cancellation requests from the Sales Team, ensuring profitability and policy compliance
  • Update regularly and manage various pricing-related databases (e.g., Trading Ledger, OPC Daily Market Cost, Hypercare Price Tool) for accurate pricing assessments
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to prepare tailored offers such as fuel bids, barge pricing, and weekly schemes to drive volume and retain customers
  • Compile and update cost components (e.g., premiums, hedging, additives, storage) to aid in accurate pricing decisions and retail pricing assessments
  • Produce regular sales performance reports to validate the effectiveness and accuracy of implemented pricing strategies
  • Join key internal meetings (e.g., Sales & Operations, Pricing Cadence) to align on pricing decisions, volume targets, and supply planning
  • Assign the IIP Manager in assessing historical data and sales performance to design and improve pricing frameworks and processes
  • Perform data analytics, prepare presentations, and maintain templates and tools to support pricing projects and business initiatives
