Ready to make a real difference in an Outstanding Local Authority?

Do you have the skill to peel back the layers and truly see the whole child?

Are you driven by relationships, fairness, and ensuring every young person feels heard, valued, and supported?

If so — Telford & Wrekin wants to meet you

Why Our Children and Young People Need YOU

They’ve told us the qualities that matter most:

  • Practitioners who understand there’s more beneath the surface
  • Genuine care, kindness, and empathy
  • Adults who really listen — to their hopes, worries, and dreams
  • Clear, honest communication
  • A belief in family, belonging, and the importance of relationships

Our “family first” ethos means we champion children staying within their birth families and networks wherever possible. When this isn’t achievable, we work tirelessly to ensure their relationships are protected, their identity is honoured, and their voice stays central in every decision.

Why This Is an Amazing Time to Join Us

We’re on an exciting journey of transformation — embedding strengths-based practice, driving continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional experiences for children and families.

Our IROs & Conference Chairs are crucial to this mission. You’ll ensure plans are meaningful, child-centred, ambitious, and compliant with statutory standards — and you’ll respectfully challenge where things need to change.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
